In an effort to provide superior service the law office of Baker & Colby, PLLC of Wilmington, North Carolina concentrates its practice on Residential Real Estate Transactions and providing support for Real Estate Development and Investing. We provide title abstracting and closing services for New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender Counties. (Limited service to other counties will be considered on a case by case basis).

A real estate transaction, be it the purchase or refinance of your home, will likely be the largest and most significant transaction of our lives. In an effort to remove the confusion and stress from the transaction our firm focuses on the key to an efficient and successful real estate closing, that being communication. The role of the attorney in a transaction is often that of a mediator. All of the information comes into and disseminates from the attorney’s office. In an effort to ensure open and timely communication our staff can be reached by telephone, facsimile or email. Even the average real estate transaction can be wrought with anxiety. Our staff is experienced and considerate. All questions will be answered courteously and accurately. We will make all attempts necessary to remove the tension from the closing process. Our staff will take the steps necessary to clear pre-existing title issues and is available to address any of your concerns prior to reaching the closing table.

We also concentrate on maintaining a rapid title search turn-around and flexible scheduling. We are able to conduct closings in our office, your office or at the client’s home. In a further effort to maintain unsurpassed service our Firm strives to keep pace with today’s ever advancing technology. We store all closing documents digitally which enables near real-time document retrieval. Clients are given copies of all closing documents immediately after signing and can be in the form of paper or digital copies (CD-ROM or email). Future technology implementation will include online search ordering along with online document review for registered users.
